Christina Rodriguez Johnson, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist & Reading/Writing Tutor
Christina graduated from The University of Alabama in 2016 with a Master's in Communication Disorders. Following graduation she was selected for a highly competitive Clinical Fellowship at Children's of Alabama in Birmingham. As an Atlanta native, she has served the community working for CHOA, Emory, and contracted at top Atlanta private schools.
As a licensed speech-language pathologist, Christina has deep knowledge in teaching and facilitating language development and comprehension. Her background allows for unmatched, unique, and dynamic learning approaches.
Her previous career focus in pediatric inpatient rehabilitation gave extensive practice in working with memory and attention challenges, specifically with reading comprehension. Christina can confidently support neurodiverse students.
A closer look at her neurodiverse students with executive function needs inspired her to further investigate the connection in these students' language profiles alongside concurrent reading and writing needs. She began a career shift and concentrated on training to support her students.
Christina completed Associate Level Orton-Gillingham coursework in 2025. She has completed additional training to sit for the KPEERI Exam, with 5 additional speech-language-pathologist-specific reading/writing trainings in 2026.
Every student possesses the potential to excel. By bridging the gap between language and literacy, Christina helps children build a lifelong foundation for successful comprehension and communication.

“Our capacity for language and meaning makes us deeply human. Speaking is just the beginning of language. Through reading and writing, we are preserving authentic human connection across cultures and time.”
